Hiya All!

I found the above photo on the internet… i like it very much… it was deeply moving for me…

To me, it liberates Jesus from the “Churchianity” that followed in his name. This is much closer to the Jesus that I believe walked the earth. Jesus, the Yogii, Jesus the Revolutionary, Jesus the breaker of dogma and oppression…

Avidya: the Crudifying force in the Universe…

dogbone41Hi everyone!

Below is an interesting extract from a short discourse about the “force of ignorance” that is believed to present in the Creation. I mentioned in an early post about the two forces at work in the creation: Vidya – the positive, elevating force, or force of knowledge, and Avidya, it’s opposite – the force of ignorance – technically, that which metamorphoses Consciousness into condensed or crudified forms culminating in solid matter – highly densified consciousness.

The below discourse by Shrii Shrii A’nandamurti explains some other aspects of Avidya.

N.B. The word quinquelemental means the five elements: Etherial, Aerial, Luminous, Liquid & Solid factors.

“Everything in this quinquelemental universe is of transitory nature.. But when due to the influence of this Avidya, the cardinal ignorance, one thinks that everything will remain with oneself, as it is or as they are, this defective style of thinking is Avidya – that is, when he considers this transitory (Anitya) world to be as permanent (Nitya), impure as pure, worldly pains as bliss and [the] non-spiritual, i.e., material, as the Supreme, this is Avidya. These are different varieties of Avidya.

It is like a dog chewing a bone. There is nothing in the bone but while chewing, the dog’s lips get cut and bleeding starts. It sucks its own blood, yet it considers the blood as juice coming out of the bone. Though actually the dog is getting hurt it imagines that it is feeling happiness. Such thing happens on account of Avidya. One regards crude, lifeless and non-living objects as having sparkling of souls or as spiritual idols. These are all due to Avidya.”

Break out now / Break the chains / Tear the prison down!

catfight3Hi everyone!

Isn’t that a cool photo?! A few more words on lyrics in the song blogged earlier (scroll down) “Carry us along”.

Lyrics:

Break out now / Break the chains / Tear the prison down

It’s a fight – a battle for this world. A battle to overcome the negative forces in this universe that work through various misguided beings – both human and non-human – to keep humanity in a very narrow spectrum of consciousness – a state in which human beings can be easily manipulated to serve the agenda of the oppressors. This is a very common story through out the ages, and now – with the advent of advanced technology – is about to reach it’s culminating point with the so-called New World Order. Many researchers have highlighted the form which this is intended to take: A Global fascist Government, a Global Bank, a Global Army and a microchipped population.

Now, we have looked several times at the mantra “Ba’ba’ Na’m Kevalam” (everything is the expression of One Infinite loving Consciousness). If that is really true, doesn’t that then mean that even this diabolical New World Order is the expression of Infinite Loving Consciousness? Yes, it does, BUT….

…this does not mean that we are to sit by idly and accept it. Why? Because, in this “Relatively Free Will Universe”, the crudifying force (that metamorphoses Consciousness into various forms – ultimately, solid matter) is also at work in the living world including the human world. More developed beings align with Dharma or Vidya – the elevating force in the Universe, while unenlightened beings of the level of human beings – may choose to align either with the elevating force or the degenerating force of the cosmos as per their free will.

Now, simply because some very misguided beings have chosen to align themselves with the Avidya (degenerating) force and create a degraded human society, does not then mean we are to bow to that. What are progressive people to do? They are to align themselves practically with the Vidya (elevating, progressive) force in the Universe and proceed accordingly. Two questions arise: Firstly, how does one align oneself with the Viya force and secondly, what will then happen.

Firstly, the various authentic practices of tantra yoga (as found in Ananda Marga) accomplish that – if sincerely practiced. For that, one is advised to find a qualified Ananda Marga tantra yoga instructor.

Secondly, what happens when one aligns with the Vidya force with the help of spiritual practice? One will realise that progress in all spheres of existence imply struggle – struggle against a depraving force, a depraving idea, a depraving practice. Struggle means fight.

This spirit will surely come to those in alignment with the Vidya force. This fight will be both internal and external – internal means within one’s own mind. We have to develop awareness of how the crudying force is lodged in our own minds – in the various psychic propensities that make up the human mind – how we allow ourselves to be misguided by that Avidya force whereby negative tendencies are strengthened – tendencies such as fear, jealousy, shyness etc.

We then need a systematic practice to sublimate these tendencies and to dislodge this Avidya force from the mind. Here meditation is key – meditation on the Infinite Loving Consciousness. An authentic mantra has an inherent spiritual power, and that power is unleashed when the mind finds parallelism with the mantra. The elevating, sublime effect of the mantra consistently strikes at the root of the Avidya force in the mind. So, what is the essence of the mantra from where it derives it’s power? Pure Love. The subject of the mantra is the Supreme Being – the Infinite Loving Consciousness. Ideation (concentrating the mind on the Idea) on the Supreme progressively works to dislodge the Avidya force from the mind.

The second question was, having aligned with the Vidya (elevating) force what will happen? One will experience Self-development – as we have just touched on – and secondly, one will develop the inherent desire to render selfless service. This sense of selfless service will extend to the society and the spirit to fight exploitation going on in the society. Hence, Self-development – real spiritual development – automatically develops the spirit to fight for social justice, social liberation. In this respect, real spiritual practitioners are social revolutionaries. Let us fully commit to our own internal, self-development and join the external revolutionary fight to establish a Neo-humanist world.

Love for All is Neo-humanism which we are to create on earth!

breathelandHi everyone!

Now I would like to write something more on the lyrics of the Song “Carry us along”. I will discuss below only the two sentences of the Chorus…

_____ CHORUS:

[But] I’ll keep on fighting on / if it’s the last thing that I do

this is the tantric spirit – the be all and end all. If we want to make spiritual progress (and establish a just world), we have to adopt this spirit of fight – of course, this really runs counter to our conditioned mind – including our PC, western mindset. It’s important to be aware of this in ones individual life – I have noticed, where someone grew up in a very “pampered”, soft environment – they will have to do extra effort to get this “spirit of fight” feeling in their life. Without this fighting spirit we end up slave to the ego, the base propensities and the exploiters in the society.

I’ll take that hand / walk through the flames / we’ve got a job to do

What hand are we to take? That is the question. A big question in our human life. Only human life? No, in the life of all developed beings in the creation. I believe that on this point it really is the same on all dimensions and in all points of the time-space continuum – the creation is about living beings developing themselves. How are they to do that? Through aligning with the subtle, elevating force in the creation (“Vidya maya” in sanskrit) the result of which is the experience of the Self – the divine consciousness within. That experience leads to the experience of the Supreme Self, of which that so-called individual self is actually just a reflection on the individual mental plate.

So, yes, that “hand” is there – always there. No matter how deeply we may fall into the “MAYA” – the illusory force of ignorance – whether on this 3rd dimensional plane (Loka), the 4th dimensional “Astral” plane, or any higher or lower planes of existence. The point always remains the same: Ba’ba’ Na’m Kevalam – everything is the expression of one, Infinite Loving Consciousness. So, even if by one’s karma, one should end up in the basest, cruelest part of the lower astral plane, the solution is the same – let the mind hold the vibration of “Ba’ba’ Na’m Kevalam” and progress will be forthcoming.

That Supreme Consciousness is with us, ever with us, because we exist within “His” macrocosmic thought projection. We are Internal to “Him” (Using “He / Him” reflects the limitation of the english language in this regard – the Supreme Being does not, of course, have a gender).
So, take that hand – hold that hand, learn how to do that, how to get over the complex of shyness or disbelief, or inferiority. Dogmatic religion taught us to fear God – spirituality – Dharma – has always taught us that God is Infinite Love and to Love God – the Supreme Consciousness – as our nearest and dearest and most beloved – as our Ba’ba’!

You can see that the relationship between the spiritual aspirant and the supreme is completely personal – the most personal, love-saturated relationship any being will ever have in this creation. This is called “Bhakti” – devotional love.

So in our human existence – that moment of expression within the vast cosmic cycle of creation – after we have passed through so many millions of expressed life forms, and we then attain this exalted state as a human being, we are then able to consciously realise the purpose of our existence and of the Creation itself. And that purpose is purely and simply to Love! To love the Supreme, the Supreme Consciousness which is all that is. Now, when someone becomes obsessed with this Love for the Supreme – for your Ba’ba’ – something happens. Ultimately, you become that Infinite Love – You become one with the Supreme as a drop of water becomes one with the Ocean – becomes, the Ocean.

By loving the Supreme – your Ba’ba’ – one has to love Everything, because everything is the expression of that Supreme consciousness – the creation is “simply” the metamorphosis of that Supreme Consciousness – just as water, ice and steam are all just different forms of the one substance, water! The creation with all it’s trillions of galaxies, stars, solar systems, planets and myriad lifeforms in the mundane and supramundane dimensions are just different forms of the one substance – Consciousness. And what is the quality of that consciousness? Love. Infinite Love!

It’s that simple! We are to develop love in our lives – that is the project! Nature provides us with small steps to develop this love – firstly for our mother, our father, our families, then when a little more developed, we develop love for our clan or tribe or community, then our nation, then the whole human world, meanwhile we also develop love for our pets, then the animal and plant world, then for all living beings, all the while developing love for the Supreme Consciousness which is the essence of All that Is. This Love for All is called “Neo-humanism” and it is this Neo-humanism that we are to create on this planet. And to do this, we will have to fight courageously on every level against the the vested interests. So:

“take that hand / walk through the flames / we’ve got a job to do”.

10 min video re. Earth Changes & Radiant Zone Communities

michael_st_clair_med

Hi All!

It’s been a long time… In the intervening two months I have travelled in several European countries, taught at a weekend meditation intensive, held several seminars exploring yoga meditation, and spoken to a number of groups about the coming dramatic changes that I believe are about to take place in the world.

In this regard, there’s an interesting 10 minute video that looks at earth changes, alternative economy following the collapse of the capitalist system, and, basically, what those who are tuning in may choose to do to survive these coming times. Worth a view:
